Following the success of the award for young emergent chefs and pizza chefs from Southern Italy, next weekend is time for Emergente Centro 2014, from the 27th to the 30th of June 2014 at Birròforum in Rome. Valoriani pizza ovens will be once again the fundamental partner to support young gourmet pizza chefs with its professional pizza ovens recognized by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana.
The event will take place in the welcoming exhibition area in Lungotevere Maresciallo Diaz (Farnesina) in conjunction with Birròforum, the new exhibition fully dedicated to the world of beers thanks to more than 60 Home made brewery. During the competition, besides 16 promising chefs, there will be the emerging under 35 pizza chefs from Central Italy. From Abruzzo: Lisa Caprini (Pizzeria Milù) and Matteo Di Virgilio (Les Paillotes). From Marche: Andrea Coppari (Mezzometro) and Luca Barbatosta (Urbino dei Laghi). From Lazio: Valerio Piccirilli (Tonda), Matteo Ricci (I Tinelloni), Matteo Carducci (La Fucina), Elio Santosuosso (La Gatta Mangiona), Pier Daniele Seu (Mastro Titta), Davide Rossi (Rosti). From Tuscany: Fabio Corsi (Lo Spela), Lorenzo Grilli (Apogeo Giovannini), Lorenzo Moriconi (Il Pachino), Salvatore Botta (Enosteria Mangia) and Raffaele Menna (Mamma Napoli). As usual, the winner of the competition will attend the Italian final of the format.
During the event, the public could assist to exhibition of some Taste Master and to famous chefs and pizza chefs’ Cooking Show, host by the journalist Luigi Cremona, organizer of the competition together with Witaly. Moreover, there will be some Gourmet Areas for the tasting of the best wine and food products of the made in Italy, managed by the companies attending the initiative.
