The first edition of the new guide by Gambero Rosso, the main sponsor of which is Refrattari Valoriani, was launched in the Convention Hall of “Città del Gusto” in Naples (Interporto of Nola) on Monday 1 July 2013.
Destined to become a point of reference for the pizza lovers, “Pizzerie d’Italia” selects more than 400 places awarding with “Tre Spicchi” (Three Slices) the best pizzas divided into three categories: Neapolitan, Italian and gourmet. On the other hand, Tre Rotelle (Three Wheels) is the award for the best pizzas by the slice. Other awards are: best wine list, best beer list, best receipts and a special award to “dough masters”, for the dedication shown in the research and study of the dough, from flours to temperatures and leavening, up to dietary values and making processes.
Refrattari Valoriani is the main sponsor of the guide, as well as the only wood fired and gas ovens producer recognized and included in the guide by Gambero Rosso. During the launch of “Pizzerie d’Italia”, Massimo Valoriani took the floor to thank and award some of the pizzerie stars of the event, regarded as the Italian excellence of the great Neapolitan art.
