For more than one century, the passion and the experience of craftsmen in Reggello have been melting into the clay work and the precious knowledge of “the fire secrets” to give birth to Valoriani refractory bricks.
Valoriani Ovens, after a long trek, has become one of the leader company in the production of wood burning ovens. Looking back upon its history it seems to be pulled down in a family tale of old times.
The story began in 1890, when the founder of the family, Pietro Valoriani, started his adventure producing jugs, pots, and refractory cotto bricks in Figline Val d’Arno. According to the ancient medieval tradition when the entire potter family was involved in the production of jugs and pots, Valoriani’s family has been having part in the brick-kiln production since the beginning.
The first workshop “crank out” cotto to cover the floor and pots for oil. A production entirely handmade, pursued with great knowledge, attention to the details, acquired taste and talent, it was the primary aspect for the creation of precious specimen. Classical and elegant lines for articles that are at the same time sturdy, freeze and bad-weather resistant.
Few people today can still exhibit in their houses, gardens and balconies such original handiworks, which are the result of skilled craftsman work that gave prestige and decorum to Florentine country, to its inhabitants and that make famous the Made in Italy all over the world.
For several decades Valoriani family has get cracking at the refractory bricks production to realize wood burning ovens for pizza in real cotto. This is a fearless choice, a smart intuition that allow to put Valoriani brand at the top levels, thanks to the post war well-being.
